About THF
Purpose and Concept
　  This institution is known as Taiwan Heart Foundation (THF).
THF was founded by Taiwan Society of Cardiology which donated 10,000,000 NT dollars as the endowment, and was supported by endowments from individuals and organizations interested in related medical issue. Our purpose is enhancing the research, education, prevention and cure of cardiovascular diseases, and promoting the health and welfare of the nation. And our intentions are promoting the government and non-governmental institutions to execute the prevention and cure, education and research work of cardiovascular diseases, providing essential scholarships and budgets to promote the prevention and cure, education and research work of cardiovascular diseases, enhancing the cooperation with international societies, foundations, and research institutes of cardiology, and developing other works associated with the prevention and cure, education and research of cardiovascular diseases.
　
Organization of THF
　  Board of Trustees
The THF shall have 9-15 Trustees, forming the Board of Trustees. The Standing Trustees shall be elected from the Trustees, and the number of Standing Trustees shall not exceed 1/3 of Trustees. The Chairman and Vice Chairman of the THF shall be elected from the Standing Trustees by the Trustees, and the Executive Director and Vice Executive Director shall be appointed by the Chairman. The term of office for the Trustee shall be two years. All posts of Trustees are not salaried.

Board of Supervisors
The THF shall have 3-5 Supervisors, forming the Board of Supervisors. The Standing Supervisor shall be elected by the Supervisors. The term of office for the Supervisor shall be two years. All posts of Supervisors are not salaried.
